The Lukas Community has openings for 1 or 2 live-in houseparents/coworkers to start immediately. The work includes helping our capable developmentally-challenged residents carry out their daily activities, including outings such as swimming and hiking, concerts, community suppers, going to hardware and grocery stores, cooking, music, dance, painting and crafts, maintenance and cleaning, growing our food, longer field trips, day to day caring for the house and land, and assisting with daily needs. You must have at least a high school education, and we will train you; a willingness to learn and a good heart are all that you need.
Benefits include private suite, health, dental, 8 wks. vacation, retirement, two days off per week, monthly stipend, and communal meals and activities. If you are interested, please send a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the application at www.lukascommunity.org/Join_us and send it back to us. Our residents need you!
