A life of dignity, purpose, and belonging.

At The Lukas Community, adults with developmental challenges live meaningful, connected lives through shared homes, daily rhythms, and work rooted in nature.

Two older adults, a man and a woman, smiling and standing together in a lush garden on a sunny day. The man has gray hair, glasses, and is holding a bunch of freshly harvested greens. The woman is wearing a blue cap and gray t-shirt, with her arm around the man's shoulder. There are vibrant flowers and raised garden beds with green plants behind them.

Who We Are

The Lukas Community is a life-sharing, intentional community where individuals with developmental disabilities and caregivers live and work together. Inspired by the Camphill model, we nurture growth, belonging, and contribution in everyday life.

  • Young man standing inside a greenhouse, holding a watering can, surrounded by lush green plants.
  • A man sitting at a table in front of a window with curtains, surrounded by watercolor paintings he is creating. The table has a black tablecloth, a jar of water, a watercolor palette, and a yellow book. Outside the window, there are trees and snow on the ground.
  • Two people gardening outdoors in a lush, green area with trees and a small creek in the background. One person is bending over the plants, and the other is using a wheelbarrow.
  • A young woman with short brown hair in a red sleeveless top sitting on a wooden bench outdoors, holding a small fluffy white and gray dog that is yawning with its tongue out.
  • Close-up of a white and orange daffodil flower blooming in a garden with green leaves, other flowers, and a tree in the background.
